Abstract
This study aimed to identify surrogate criteria for selecting patients with resected intrahepatic or hilar cholangiocarcinoma (CC) who may benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy, especially in cases where nodal assessment is inadequate. A total of 138 patients undergoing resection were analyzed, revealing lymphovascular invasion (LVI) as a significant negative prognostic factor for overall survival (OS). These findings suggest that LVI presence could serve as a potential criterion for adjuvant chemotherapy selection in CC patients after surgical resection
