Adverse reactions are mostly related to drug exposure which mainly involve the skin and mucous membranes normally and in dental treatments also. Diagnostic tests play a major role in preventing these immunological and non-immunological NSAID related hypersensitivity reactions. Oral mucosa is more sensitive than skin, which may lead to intense erythematous lesions with swelling of gingiva. In this case we can observe allergic reactions in oral mucosa and also epithelial rash on the skin with acetaminophen (paracetamol) combined derivatives. Paracetamol allergy can be severe in some cases which are very rare but can be lethal, so diagnostic tests should be pre-planned before prescribing.
