Abstract
The present research evaluate the antipyretic effects of aqueous extract of whole plant of Fagonia cretica L. (Zygophyllaceae) were investigated at doses 250mg/kg b.w. and 500mg/kg b.w. using brewer’s yeast-induced pyrexia tests. Oral administration aqueous extract of whole plant of Fagonia cretica L. produced significantly (P<0.01) reduced the elevated body temperature of rats. The results of antipyretic activity performed in the present study suggest that aqueous extract of whole plant of Fagonia cretica L. possesses potent antipyretic effect.
